Institute of Physics, Royal Astronomical Society and Royal Society of Chemistry are delighted to be hosting the 4th LGBT+ STEMinar in the brand new home of physics, the new Institute of Physics building, in King’s Cross, London.

This one-day research conference is an annual celebration of the work of STEM* scientists who identify as LGBT+. The aims of the conference are to:

  • increase the visibility and profile of LGBT+ STEM scientists
  • showcase the exciting scientific research being undertaken by those within the LGBT+ community
  • provide development and networking opportunities for early career LGBT+ scientists.

The event is open to all including those who may not identify as LGBT+ but wish to discover and support the work of their LGBT+ colleagues.

The conference will consist of a series of scientific research talks, a poster presentation session, a panel session for discussion on major topical issues and lots of opportunities for networking.

The event is free to register and attend due to the generous sponsorship of a number of organisations. Demand is likely to be high so register quickly to attend. We will operate a waiting list once capacity is reached.
